O’Reilly Auto Parts and Farmers’ Insurance Agency opened this week with fanfare from Danville mayor Sherman Saunders and the Danville-Pittsylvania County Chamber of Commerce.

“With all of our new business openings in recent weeks and months, I hope we never fail to overlook the entrepreneurial spirit and the strength that small businesses provide for our region,” Laurie S. Moran, chamber director, said.

Farmers’ Insurance Group will be operated by Michael Wilson Insurance Services and held a ribbon-cutting Thursday at its new location at 171 Piney Forest Road.

O’Reilly Auto Parts held a ribbon cutting Wednesday at its new store at 602 Piney Forest Road in Danville.
