When they arrived, police found him with non-life threatening stab wounds. The same resident who initially called the police told them where they boy lived on Holland Road, Broadfoot said.

When they got to the house, police found the mother, Brenda Marie Lewis, lying on the ground, apparently stabbed to death, a release from the police department stated.

I don’t believe the son would stab his ownself. Sounds like it may be an angry ex husband/boyfriend or someone who didn’t like it that she was pregnant or maybe someone on drugs looking for money.I guess they will find out when all the tests come in.I hope they catch whoever it is and soon!
My prayers go out to her family for their loss.

Couldnt it be the son that committed this act? Whey was he left alive and she was stabbed so many times as to make absolutely sure she was dead?

I agree! The obituary mentioned a baby also. Was she pregnant? Where is all the info on this case? I live on the northside but still worry that whoever did this is still roaming around somewhere.

Personally I feel very bad for the son, to have lost his mother at this age and in such a horrific way. My question is this, I live down the road from where this happen, I drive past there at least four times a day going back and forth to work. There has been no new information about this case. Who is a suspect? Should I be worried about travelling inthis area? Should I worry tghat someone is going to show up at or around my house to commit a random act of violence? We need more information about what is being done and how worried we ( the neighbors) should be. Again I am very sorry to this family for their loss and grief over this tragedy.
