Magazine awards Danville for high technology

PELHAM, Ala. — Expansion Solutions Magazine gave Danville’s Office of Economic Development the publication’s “Award of Excellence for High Technology,” according to a news release.

The magazine cited Danville’s fiber-optic infrastructure, the city’s incentive of a technology enhancement grant, the White Mill development project and high-tech companies moving to Danville as part of the reasoning for the award.

The magazine’s third annual awards recognize economic development organizations that have shown “exceptional progress.” Winners were chosen for their support systems to businesses, growth potential, investments and available infrastructure.
