Juvenile charged in Danville break-in

A Winchester County runaway juvenile faces charges in a break-in at Haley’s TV early Friday morning.

Police received a call at about 12:20 a.m. Friday regarding a suspicious person beside the store, according to a news release from the Danville Police Department. When police arrived, a white male, 17, was seen running from the building carrying two televisions. Police apprehended him at Pleasant View apartment complex.

He has been charged with breaking and entering and other charges are pending. The teen is wanted in Winchester County as a runaway and is being held at W.W. Moore Juvenile Detention Home.

With the right attitude,  we can adjust the charges a little, I feel like this young man needs a little community service, maybe clean the park or something, no need for a life long criminal record in a case like this…
