Fire damages Danville home

No one was injured in a fire that caused moderate damage to a Danville home early Saturday morning.

Fire crews spent two hours battling the blaze at 137 Stokesdale Ave., according to a news release from the Danville Fire Department.

A female occupant of the home said her fire alarm alerted her to the fire, which had filled her house with smoke.

Assistant Fire Chief S. R. Dishman said the fire was electrical in nature.
