YANCEYVILLE, N.C. — Sheriff’s deputies arrested two Semora residents Friday for growing marijuana in their home, according to a news release from the Caswell County Sheriff’s Office.

Dawn Marie Dantonio, 43, and Kevin David Judy, 35, were charged with felony maintaining a dwelling for a controlled substance, felony manufacturing marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of marijuana.

Investigators searched the home and found one of the bedrooms was being used to grow marijuana. They also found artificial lighting, a water table, growing agents, marijuana residue and books about growing marijuana, according to the release.

Dantonio and Judy are being held in the Caswell County Jail under a $10,000 bond. Their first court date is scheduled for Sept. 23.

Watch when it goes to court,,it will be a case where those two were probably growing alittle for theirselves and lived in the Home but all of a sudden it’s not their home,it’s a residents for maintaining a criminal interprise. Now they can steal those peoples Home and sell it and get a portion to buy the Department more assualt weapons or pay for their play toys to terrorize their citizens.Did they say how much was growing? NO,so was it one plant? all it takes is one to be a felony and it only needs to be 1” tall..They make it sound like they broke up a criminal interprise,I can’t wait to hear How much these two Hardcore criminals was growing, heck it could be a seed someone dropped in their flower pot, cops wouldn’t care,so that’s why we need Juries who are Informed of their rights and OBLIGATIONS as a jurier and the Judge will tell them a lie Everytime.NOW PROVE THAT WRONG with your educated selves…....
Bad thing is we don’t care till it happens to you then it’s to late

kib87,, you are correct, and I won’t play with words as politicians do. I am sure you are an outstanding citizen,I won’t say I have done my civic duty as you obviously have all your life. My point that you seem to miss was I think our whole system has been corrupted and the Constitution is No longer what we go by.A Sheriff to me should Uphold Our Constitution and Not enforce Laws He knows to be UnConstitutional as I’m sure if a Sheriff Had to learn the Law and the Constitution then he could be a Hero to the people. To say he is Only Following His Orders as set in Law is a copout and should be Rejected by the American People on All Levels of Goverment…Juries are No Longer Informed of their Constitutional obligation to not only judge the guilt or innocents but to also judge the law and any decision they come to can NOT be questioned,Our right as the Final judge, you remember, WE THE PEOPLE…,Do You think the Judge in this Case will Inform these people’s Jury they have that Right and Obligation or will he tell them they must follow the Law as He instructs them,Want to bet on it? or do you even know what our Constitution affords us the right to live in our Homes without Fear from our Goverment agencies we Pay for kicking in our doors and acting worse than any criminal I’ve ever met, Nope you have never broke a Law and you must be a law enforcement officer or got a relative.. I wish they would kick your doors in like they did mine one time to terrorize my family after going into the wrong house, but oh no,they came back 28 days and kicked it in again trying to cover their first screwup,They made me sound like I was The big Drug dealer but that’s another story I’m sure you would have a comeback for but you have not seen the corrption I can tell..Do yourself a favor and read and study our Constitution.I call that The Law of the land and laws not Constitutional should be broke, big question is,Is there Any Real Judges in this country anymore who believe in our Constitution and actually try to uphold it..I haven’t met any personally…Have a wonderful day..

gonefishing, please provide an example of a sheriff who made it illegal to possess or sell pot?  You can’t.  Why? Sheriff’s don’t make the laws, only enforce them.  That would be the legislature.  You want to change the law, vote them out.  But maybe if you were sheriff, in your obvious wisdom, you could enforce the laws you agree with and ignore the ones you don’t.  But I don’t think you would be sheriff for long.

Makes me sick everytime I hear someone going to Jail for Pot,This country has gone mad with incarcerating it’s citizens for victimless crimes so the legal system can get Bigger and Bigger. Vote them Out, Stating with the Sheriffs..

In that case there are a lot of victimless criminals in jail for pot serving more time than people who shoot in occupied dwellings

Randy,
Did you ever own a “Good Times Machine”  Ford Van ? With a mural on the sides ?  A beanbag chair and black lights inside ? Pink Floyd playing on the 8 track ?
