Gubernatorial candidate state Sen. Creigh Deeds will speak in Danville at 8:30 this morning as a part of one last push to reach voters before Tuesday’s primary.

Deeds will be at the Danview Restaurant, 116 Danview Drive, for a Get-Out-the-Vote breakfast meet and greet, open to the public. Deeds will then head to Martinsville, where he will speak at a rally at the Historic Henry County Courthouse, 1 East Main St., at 10 a.m.

The stops are two of 16 planned through today, ending with a rally at his campaign headquarters in Charlottesville.

Deeds is not the only Democratic gubernatorial candidate to visit the area recently; Brian Moran spoke at a rally in Martinsville on Sunday afternoon as part of his “Fighting for Virginia” tour. Virginia House Minority Leader Ward Armstrong hosted the rally at the Chatmoss Country Club.
