Perriello undecided on health-care bill

Rep. Tom Perriello, D-5th District, said today he’s undecided on whether he will vote for the health-care bill that was rolled out in the House of Representatives yesterday.
Perriello says he’s concerned that the bill proposed by House Speaker Nancy Pelosi doesn’t do enough to promote interstate competition among health-insurance companies.
Perriello also said he wants to spend the weekend reading the 1,900-page bill to make sure it contains provisions he and other freshmen congressmen have negotiated, such as protecting the Medicare coverage of senior citizens, cutting the cost of prescription drugs, and reducing the so-called “doughnut hole” in Medicare coverage of prescriptions
