Leasburg man arrested in Caswell shooting

LEASBURG, N.C. — Caswell County sheriff’s deputies arrested a Leasburg, N.C., man for a Saturday double shooting that injured two juveniles, according to a news release from the sheriff’s office.

John Clyde Fuqua, 52, of 669 Brown Road, was charged with two counts of assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury and assault with a deadly weapon. He is being held on a $5,000 secured bond.

Deputies went to Brown Road in Leasburg after receiving two shots-fired 911 calls, according to the release. They found the two gunshot victims and a third juvenile who was not injured. The victims were treated at the scene, and their injuries were not life-threatening.

Fuqua will appear in court on Oct. 1.
