Lady Phoenix hand MHS first loss of season

The Morehead Lady Panthers suffered their first loss of the season and it came at the hands of county-rival McMichael Wednesday night.
The Lady Phoenix, now 4-2 on the season, defeated Morehead, 25-23, 25-13, 23-25, 25-14.
Morehead falls to 4-1 on the season. On Wednesday night, the Lady Panthers (1-0 in conference play) rolled past Western Alamance — winning three of four games. Also on Wednesday, the Lady Phoenix defeated Grimsley in four games.
For McMichael, Brittney Stokes had five kills and 11 digs and Emily Pulliam had five kills, 13 digs.
For Morehead, Tori Roberts led the way with 19 assists, 10 digs, three aces.
The Lady Panthers were back in action against Western Guilford Thursday night.
