Reidsville police make two drug arrests

Reidsville police Wednesday made their sixth arrest in a “rolling roundup” from an undercover drug operation last fall.
Melvin George Graves, 39, of 509 Benson St., was charged with one felony count of possession with intent to manufacture and sell crack cocaine. He was placed in the Rockingham County Jail under $5,000 bail, police said.
When police approached Graves, a man nearby, Jeffrey Lemar Williamson, 29, of 709 Prince Williams St., saw them and ran. Officers pursued Williamson, who into a house. At some point, Williamson threw down a bag of 41 pills believed to be Ecstacy, police said. Officers took Williamson into custody and executed a search warrant at his home. He was charged with one felony count of possession of synthetic drugs and one misdemeanor count of possession of drug paraphernalia. He is in the Rockingham County Jaul under $5,000 bail. 
Williamson is scheduled to appear in District Court on July 2. Graves is scheduled to appear in District Court on July 7.

Why on earth is the bail set so low for such low-lifes, who are destroying communites and families because of their greed for quick money. They are only given a slap on the wrist before being sent back out into the same communities to commit a more serious crime like murder.
