Police are investigating a robbery that occurred at 7:35 p.m. Tuesday.

Brian Gunter, 32, of Reidsville, was held up at gunpoint in the parking lot outside his girlfriend’s apartment building. Gunter reported the crime to the Reidsville Police Department five minutes after the incident.

Gunter said he was visiting his girlfriend at her apartment on Marcellus Street. Gunter said she asked him to wait in his car while she got ready.

While waiting, Gunter was approached by two men. Gunter got out of the car and one of the men put a gun to his stomach and demanded that he hand over his valuables, police said.

During the hold up, Gunter surrendered his watch, necklace, wallet and $120 in cash. The items taken from Gunter are valued at a total of $590.

Gunter did not know which way the robbers fled following. He said one of the men was wearing a tan coat and a matching headband.
