An Eden man has been charged with stealing from his father.

Steve B. Overby Jr., of 203 Buttercup Road, was charged Monday with felony larceny and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. According to the warrants for his arrest, Overby stole prescription medication, a 36-inch flat screen TV, $85 in U.S. currency and a $300 money order. The stolen items were the personal property of Steven Bryan Overby Sr. Overby also operated a the 1987 Mazda truck belonging to his father without permission, according to Eden police. Police also served a warrant on Overby for failure to appear in court.

Overby was confined in the Rockingham County Jail under a $10,000 bond. He is scheduled to appear in court on Saturday.
