Hugh Webster has been found not guilty on both criminal charges by a Caswell County (N.C.) Superior Court jury Thursday afternoon. Webster had been charged with embezzlement and the felony exploitation of an elderly adult.

Webster, a former North Carolina state senator and certified public accountant, had been accused by an elderly aunt, Doris Nance, of taking more than $12,000 from her.
