U.S. Rep. Virgil Goode has asked key John McCain campaign officials to put Richmond Congressman Eric Cantor on the GOP ticket. Goode wrote a letter to McCain’s campaign manager and said Cantor would help keep Virginia in the Republican column, and that Cantor is a consistent conservative.
